Kamchatka brown bear is one of the biggest bears on the planet. Kamchatka is one of the few places around the world where this wild animal is able to live freely because of the pristine environment.

In Kamchatka, there are two hunting seasons for the brown bear

Spring season – April 25 – May 25

Fall season – August 20 – November 1

Spring season for Kamchatka brown bear hunting:

During the hunt you are accommodated in the base camp, where there are all the conditions for living: separate bedrooms, internet, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, shower and Russian sauna.

Camp operation is supported by professional guides, cook and other service staff, if needed.

In Spring in Kamchatka you can see the bear clearly and from a long distance against white snow. Everyday, early in the morning the hunter and the guide start to explore the hunting area using a snowmobile. The hunter usually takes a care seat in a simple sled and the guide drives the snowmobile. They search for tracks and after spotting a trophy size male approach it by foot.

Fall season bear hunting:

The Fall hunt is more complicated but also more interesting. Hunters travel around the hunting area using ATV and look for bears feeding at the riverside or where berries, mushrooms and nuts are growing. Often, you will be able to see the bear when he catches fish in the river. Hunting is by spot-and-stalk once the bear is spotted.
